Job Summary
We are seeking a Transmission Line Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design and lead engineering tasks for overhead transmission line projects, including PLS-CADD modeling, structure analysis, and line routing. Responsibilities also include preparing specifications, construction drawings, and cost estimates; supervising field installations; and providing technical guidance to junior engineers.

Candidates must hold at least an EIT/FE certification and a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering. A minimum of 3 years of experience in high-voltage overhead transmission line design (69kV–500kV) is required; a master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience. Proficiency with power line system programs such as PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE is preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential. This position offers the potential for growth into a leadership role.

JOB FUNCTION:

• Designing and leading engineering tasks for overhead transmission line projects, including PLS-CADD modeling, structure analysis, and line routing.
• Developing specifications and preparing construction drawings for high voltage transmission lines, alongside cost estimation.
• Supervising field installations and providing technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers.
• Contributing to project management by adhering to schedules and budgets.
• Potential growth into a leadership role, managing engineering teams, and serving as a key client liaison.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering. A professional certification or licensure (at least EIT/FE).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in high voltage overhead transmission line design; a master's degree may substitute for one year of experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with 69kV to 500kV line design and familiarity with Power Line system programs like PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE preferred.
