We’re currently seeking a dependable and customer-focused Transport Driver to join our team and help us deliver the Sweetheart experience from Tampa to our facilities in Fort Myers, and Ocala.

Position Overview

As a Transport Driver, you’ll play a key role in our distribution operations—ensuring that our delicious ice cream products arrive safely, on time, and in perfect condition. This position requires a strong commitment to road safety, punctuality, and excellent customer service.

What You’ll Do

Deliver Products: Safely transport Sweetheart Ice Cream products to our Fort Myers and Ocala facilities, as well as various customer locations.

Maintain Vehicles: Perform pre-trip inspections and basic maintenance to keep your vehicle clean, safe, and operational.

Customer Service: Represent Sweetheart Ice Cream with professionalism and courtesy during deliveries, addressing questions or concerns with a positive attitude.

Keep Records: Accurately complete all delivery documentation, including logs, invoices, and receipts.

Follow Safety Protocols: Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety standards to ensure the well-being of yourself, others, and our products.

Ensure Temperature Control: Transport products using refrigerated trucks, maintaining proper temperature levels to preserve product quality.

Optimize Routes: Plan efficient routes to reduce fuel usage and ensure on-time deliveries.

Assist with Inventory: Load and unload deliveries, keeping accurate counts and helping maintain stock levels.

Troubleshoot on the Road: Handle unexpected issues during transport and promptly report them to the operations manager.

What We’re Looking For

Valid Class B CDL (or higher).

Previous experience in delivery or transport roles (refrigerated experience is a plus).

Strong knowledge of Tampa-area and Florida roads.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing vehicle checks.

Commitment to safety, punctuality, and quality service.

Flexible availability, including early mornings, mid-shift, and weekend work as needed.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 50 lbs regularly.

Comfortable driving for extended periods.

Capable of performing routine vehicle maintenance (e.g., checking fluids, tires, etc.).
