    ** Direct Report:** Operation Unit Manager
    ** Type:** Non-Exempt; Full-time

    About the Logistics Coordinator position

    We are looking for a reliable Logistics Coordinator to coordinate with warehouses and transportation vendors to ensure there are no disruptions to SCM (Supply Chain Management) department processes.

    Logistics Coordinator responsibilities are:

    • Perform all work safely and according to company standards
    • Work well with others within the team and throughout the organization
    • Regular attendance is an essential function of the position
    • Prepare truck assignment according to the weekly production plan and shipping plan to ensure smooth shipping process
    • Control and monitor the volume of trailers located in the trailer yard, as well as the contracted yard drivers
    • Communicate constantly with the carriers and update them on any changes to the daily operations
    • Prepare and ensure all required shipping documents are executed prior to the departure of the driver from our facility
    • File loading and shipping documentations as well as transfer old records to the TEC building file storage area
    • Perform work duties during hot or cold weather conditions
    • Perform other duties as assigned by management

    Coordinator requirements are:

    Education:

    • (Required) high school diploma or GED
    • (Preferred) bachelor's degree; business administration / supply chain management major

    Experience:

    • (Preferred) previous relevant experience
    • (Preferred) previous experience in the manufacturing industry

    Language:

    • (Required) good command of written and spoken English

    Skills & Knowledge:

    • Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
    • Transportation - Knowledge of principles and methods for moving people or goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits
    • Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
    • Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
    • Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
    • Reading Comprehension – Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
    • Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
    • Monitoring - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents

    Physical Demands:

    • Must be able to frequently move about the manufacturing plant campus, general office environments, production areas, and occasionally ascend/descend stairs
    • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
    • Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
    • Must be able to position self to file documents including the top and bottom drawers of file cabinets
    • Must be able to occasionally move office equipment and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds
