We’re currently hiring a Transportation Coordinator to join our growing operations team in Indianapolis, IN. In this essential role, you’ll manage the flow of daily fleet activity, assign drivers to trips, and ensure seamless communication between our drivers, operations team, and customers.
What You’ll Do as a Transportation Coordinator:
- Assign drivers to trips based on demand, location, and availability
- Monitor real-time fleet operations to ensure efficiency and timeliness
- Communicate trip details, route changes, and updates clearly to drivers
- Track and record all dispatch activities and vehicle assignments
- Collaborate with customer service and operations teams to address issues
- Respond quickly and professionally to unexpected disruptions or emergencies
What You Bring:
- Experience in dispatch, fleet operations, logistics, or transportation (preferred)
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Clear, confident communication abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with dispatch or routing software is a plus
- Valid driver’s license required
