    Key Contributions:

    • Take the opportunity to contribute to impactful transportation projects—ranging from urban and rural roadways to interstate highways and interchanges—where your design skills will help shape safer, more efficient travel for communities across the region.
    • Apply your roadway design expertise developing precise horizontal and vertical alignments, creating detailed 3D models, and producing high-quality design documentation—including design study reports and technical memorandums—that support impactful transportation solutions
    • Build strong, collaborative relationships with clients, the public, utility providers, and permitting agencies to ensure seamless project coordination and full compliance with UDOT and local standards—contributing to successful, community-focused transportation solutions
    • Receive mentorship and direction from experienced senior engineers, performing specific and limited portions of broader assignments
    • Propose solutions to new problems encountered, providing guidance to entry-level engineers, and utilizing computer software as a tool for solving engineering problems
    • Calculating quantities and estimates for transportation projects, providing specialized technical input to studies and designs, and participating in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Minimum:

    • BA/BS Civil Engineering or related field
    • Two years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
    • Ability to use Microstation and/or OpenRoads for plan production
    • Experience preparing plans for highway or civil improvement projects
