Role Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Transportation Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience across a broad range of engineering tasks. As Transportation Engineer, you will support a variety of technical assignments in the fields of highway and stormwater design and will play a key role in developing designs, producing construction plan packages, preparing calculations and technical reports, and other relevant tasks that may be associated with this position.
This role is ideal for someone looking to become a well-rounded transportation engineer while working with a passionate and talented team.
This position is based primarily in person in Peachtree Corners, GA, as working together in the office fosters innovation, supports professional growth, and enables us to deliver better results for our clients. However, flexibility and hybrid work arrangements are available to support individual needs.
Requirements
· 2 years of relevant experience
· 4-year Civil Engineering (or related) degree
· Some combination of Roadway Design and Modeling experience; Drainage Design and Modeling experience; and/or Construction Staging experience, with willingness to expand skills into related disciplines
· Familiarity with Bentley OpenRoads Designer
· Ability to produce construction plan drawings, author technical reports, and complete design calculations, with minimal oversight
· Ability to develop engineer's quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimates, with minimal oversight
· Knowledge of AASHTO design policies
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
· Excellent communication and organizational skills
· Engineer in Training (EIT) license (desired)
· Experience designing GDOT projects and familiarity with the GDOT PDP (desired)
