    Pittsburgh Transportation Group is seeking a full‑time Transportation Operations Dispatcher to support and oversee daily transportation activities. This essential role is responsible for coordinating vehicle movements, assigning drivers, planning routes, and managing shuttle and charter services to ensure operations are safe, efficient, and consistently on schedule.

    Available Shift

    Monday – Friday | 3:30 AM – 11:30 AM

    Key Responsibilities of a Transportation Dispatcher:

    • Manage day‑to‑day shuttle and charter routing operations
    • Plan and coordinate transportation services in compliance with company policies and contractual obligations
    • Support the creation of weekly driver schedules and make real‑time operational adjustments as needed
    • Act as the primary point of contact for drivers, providing guidance and operational support
    • Monitor service performance and prepare daily activity and service reports
    • Assign vehicles and collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule inspections and necessary repairs
    • Communicate with customers regarding schedules, reservations, and service questions
    • Process bookings, changes, and cancellations accurately and efficiently
    • Work closely with Safety and Training teams to ensure regulatory and operational compliance
    • Respond promptly and professionally to service disruptions or customer concerns

    Qualifications of a Transportation Dispatcher:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Two or more years of experience in transportation operations, dispatching, routing, or fleet coordination (preferred)
    • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
    • Dependable, proactive, and collaborative work style
    • Strong commitment to customer service excellence
