    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking a creative, highly talented Transportation Planning Engineer III for immediate employment in Texas. This position gives you the opportunity to engage in a variety of planning work that may include multimodal planning, corridor planning, advanced transportation planning, etc. As an integral member of our team, you will play a critical role in our transportation planning division in Texas.     The responsibilities associated with this position encompass a diverse range of tasks, including but not limited to:

    • Collaborate with project teams in the development of multimodal transportation plans. The projects include feasibility studies, corridor studies, long-range transportation plans, freight plans, pedestrian & bicycle plans, border transportation master plans, safety action plans, and other related plans.
    • Collect and analyze multimodal transportation network, economic, freight, and international trade data to support project decision-making. Support the implementation of innovative planning processes and generate deliverables, including high-quality graphics, presentations, maps, reports, and web-based products.
    • Conduct stakeholder outreach and public involvement efforts, including organizing and leading meetings and presentations with stakeholders.
    • Develop and evaluate alternative conceptual designs, consolidate project alternatives, identify and prioritize projects, and recommendations from stakeholder inputs.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • BA/BS + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
    • AICP or PE Certification is required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 6+ Years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience in multimodal transportation projects including planning and data analysis, economic evaluation, freight analysis and demand modeling.
    • Bachelor’s degree in transportation planning or civil engineering.
    • Bilingual (Spanish + English) abilities are a plus.
    • Understanding of the state and regional transportation planning frameworks and processes in Texas.

    • Offered rate of compensation (Austin TX.) area only will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The annual salary for this opportunity is $85,000.00 - $125,000. 00.
