    Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Business Development and Sales Intern to join our team. This paid internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in lead generation, seller prospecting, and recruiting within the context of a business brokerage. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using tools such as HubSpot , LinkedIn , and other social media platforms. As an intern, you'll have the chance to observe and contribute to various aspects of our business, gaining insights into how all areas of a brokerage come together.

    Responsibilities/Opportunities:

    1. Lead Generation: * Research and identify potential leads and prospects. * Utilize HubSpot and other tools to track and manage leads. * Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective lead generation strategies.
    2. Seller Prospecting: * Identify and engage potential sellers in the market. * Leverage LinkedIn and other social media channels to connect with potential clients. * Assist in creating compelling pitches and presentations for seller outreach.
    3. Recruiting: * Support the recruitment process by identifying and reaching out to potential candidates. * Assist in scheduling interviews and coordinating recruitment efforts. * Learn about the skills and qualities required for success in the brokerage industry.
    4. Business Brokerage Exposure: * Gain a holistic understanding of how different functions within a brokerage work together. * Attend team meetings, observe negotiations, and learn about deal structures. * Collaborate with colleagues across departments to enhance your knowledge.

    Qualifications:

    • Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Business, Marketing, Sales, or related fields).
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Proficiency in using HubSpot, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms (or willingness to learn).
    • Curiosity and eagerness to learn about the business brokerage industry.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Duration: This internship is a 6 week (minimum) position, with the possibility of extension based on performance.

    Location: Des Moines, IA
