Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Business Development and Sales Intern to join our team. This paid internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in lead generation, seller prospecting, and recruiting within the context of a business brokerage. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using tools such as HubSpot , LinkedIn , and other social media platforms. As an intern, you'll have the chance to observe and contribute to various aspects of our business, gaining insights into how all areas of a brokerage come together.
Responsibilities/Opportunities:
- Lead Generation:
* Research and identify potential leads and prospects.
* Utilize HubSpot and other tools to track and manage leads.
* Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective lead generation strategies.
- Seller Prospecting:
* Identify and engage potential sellers in the market.
* Leverage LinkedIn and other social media channels to connect with potential clients.
* Assist in creating compelling pitches and presentations for seller outreach.
- Recruiting:
* Support the recruitment process by identifying and reaching out to potential candidates.
* Assist in scheduling interviews and coordinating recruitment efforts.
* Learn about the skills and qualities required for success in the brokerage industry.
- Business Brokerage Exposure:
* Gain a holistic understanding of how different functions within a brokerage work together.
* Attend team meetings, observe negotiations, and learn about deal structures.
* Collaborate with colleagues across departments to enhance your knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Business, Marketing, Sales, or related fields).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using HubSpot, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms (or willingness to learn).
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn about the business brokerage industry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Duration: This internship is a 6 week (minimum) position, with the possibility of extension based on performance.
