Bemana is helping a vertical manufacturer of paint booths and finishing equipment to find a Travel Field Service Technician III to join their growing team!
As a Travel Field Service Technician III you’ll be responsible for duties related to the start-up, commissioning, maintenance and repair of the company's industry-leading paint booths and finishing systems. Additionally, providing quality data to improve products and processes, as well as on the job training support to junior technicians. The customer base for this role is focused within the industrial and aerospace sectors.
**This is a high travel role with expectations for technicians to travel ~70%. You can live anywhere in the USA as long as you are within 2 hours of any major airport.

Responsibilities:
- Test, repair, install and make field modifications to mechanical and electrical equipment including, but not limited to, programming various VFD’s and PLC’s and HMI’s.
- Work from blueprints, drawings, schematics, and process and instrumentation diagrams to instruct contractors on the proper installation and wiring of various sensors including, but not limited to, temperature, humidity and combustible gas monitors
- Interpret data from diagnostic testing equipment to diagnose problems with equipment operation.
- Provide customer classroom and hands on training in operation and maintenance of unique and complex equipment.
- Implement equipment improvements related to controls, electrical, air replacements systems, and other mechanical equipment in the field, and report results to the design team and engineering departments.
- Support and contribute to the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with our Quality System Manual and Quality Procedures by training junior employees on the standard processes related to quality and safety practices.
- Travel to various job sites for up to 3 weeks at a time.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree with 6+ years of experience in a technical field.
- Years of experience may be substituted for degree; 2 years' experience per year of schooling.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical controls and mechanical systems.
- Effective customer relations and communications skills.
- Ability to complete reports in a timely manner with a high degree of accuracy.
- HVAC and Airflow Expertise for complex balanced-draft, cross-draft, and downdraft aerospace paint booths, including variable frequency drives (VFDs), makeup air units (MAUs), and exhaust blowers.
- Ability to troubleshoot unique and complex HVAC systems.
- Ability to coordinate and direct other trades to accomplish large projects.
- The ability to climb ladders/scaffolding, work at heights and lift equipment up to 60lbs.
