Summary: The Travel Industry IT Manager is responsible for ensuring continuity of computer services for computer users within the company. Provides hands-on expertise to internal and external clients as needed. Responsible for supervising IT staff (team of 2), documenting policy/procedures related to technology used throughout the company. **MUST COME FROM A TRAVEL INDUSTRY BACKGROUND**
REMOTE - California/LA Area preferred (TRAVEL TO LA OFFICE FOR OCCASIONAL MEETINGS)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform supervisory responsibilities associated with IT staff, including employee related issues.
- Develop, document, and enforce company polices as they relate to IT
- Maintain the highest possible levels of systems continuity for all technology platforms
- Maintain Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory, IIS, SQL, Interbase, data networks
- Manages 3rd party software programs (Sabre, Apollo GDS, ClientBase/CRM, Invoicing Forms, Itinerary Builders, Reporting Platforms, etc.)
- Research and implement new technologies as needed
- Maintains good business relationships with internal/external clients/business partners
- Nerd-level attention to details
