    Summary:
    We are seeking an experienced TRAVEL INDUSTRY Sales Director to help lead the expansion into the North American Market. The expansion is to be achieved through a combination of strategic sales, marketing, and public relations initiatives, all aimed at enhancing brand recognition among the relevant audience and, in turn, driving direct business in small-ship expedition travel.

    The ideal Sales Director will be a self-motivated individual with the ability to multi-task, work independently, and commit to extensive travel.  

    *REMOTE (Ideal location for this role is Northeastern United States)*

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 10 years of sales and marketing experience in the cruise or travel sector, preferably with a small-ship or tour operator catering to upscale, affluent consumers.
    • The candidate must consistently project a positive and courteous attitude when engaging with travel partners, fellow colleagues, and exhibit remarkable problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
    • Thorough attention to detail, exceptional organizational aptitude, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, email, and web navigation, are the requirements. Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM software is a distinct advantage.

    Responsibilities:

    • Identify and cultivate new commercial partnerships to promote the Company's expedition cruises in the Arctic, Antarctica, and other global regions to diverse clientele, including financial institutions, societies, clubs, associations, retail agents, individual travelers (FIT), groups, and full-ship charters.
    • Amplify brand awareness through active participation in various events, conferences, media appearances, and collaboration with travel bloggers and influencers.
    • Scout, recommend, and coordinate the Company's participation in various prestigious cruise travel awards.
    • Get comprehensive insights into the competitive landscape and the future market outlook within the polar expedition segment of the cruise industry.
