    Summary: Recruiters get called a lot of things: “headhunters,” “hiring managers,” “those people who keep emailing me and offering free lunch,” “spineless weasels who only care about getting paid their exorbitant fees.” It’s all over the map. At Travel Staff, we like to be a breath of fresh air in a highly-competitive and challenging industry. We specialize in getting talented travel professionals hired into great jobs. This isn’t how everyone in the industry typically works - that's what sets us apart.

    We need to hire a Senior Travel Recruiter and maybe that person is you.

    The Senior Travel Recruiter we hire will have:

    • A great sense of humor. We joke and laugh a lot in the office, even when our jokes aren’t that funny
    • A magnetic personality. A good recruiter can build great relationships and sustain them over time
    • Fantastic critical thinking skills. Sometimes the applicant we need to find isn’t the person the job description is looking for. And sometimes the employer doesn’t even realize it
    • The ability to write and speak in full sentences. We write a lot of emails and aren’t big into business jargon
    • The desire to pick up the phone and listen to voicemails. Most of our job is communication and a lot of that is done over the phone. If you are like my friend who has 529 voicemails piling up, you’ll probably have a hard time in this job
    • We are service focused. Our service is what sells and closes business. If you know how to get people to sign on the dotted line, you are good to go.

    What the Senior Travel Recruiter we hire will do on a daily basis:

    • Actively search for potential candidates on our ATS (Applicant Tracking System), Social Media outlets (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.) and external job boards (Indeed, Monster, etc.)
    • Read, analyze candidate resumes
    • Perform phone screening, vetting and candidate interviews
    • Administer appropriate company assessments (GDS testing, personality tests, etc.)
    • Coordinate interviews with the hiring managers
    • Follow up on the interview process status
    • Complete timely reports on employment activity

     The Travel Recruiter we hire would need the following CORE Skills & Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Travel and/or Hospitality industry
    • Ability to assess a candidate’s skills and expertise
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
    • GDS experience SABRE & Apollo (Amadeus and/or Worldspan is a plus)
    • Must possess professional written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to handle multiple job placements, prioritize tasks, and integrate processes
    • Independent worker; able to maintain work volume and quality
    • Attention to detail, possess strong time management and phone etiquette
