    Overview

    Join our dynamic team in Louisville, KY, as a Travel Stick/Flux Welder! We are looking for skilled welders who are passionate about their craft and eager to contribute to exciting projects. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding tasks that meet industry standards while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.

    The shop is based out of Louisville, Ky. We are looking for someone local to our area. More info will be given throughout the interview process!

    -A company vehicle is provided

    -Travel is regional and is designed for you to be home nights/weekends

    -All travel costs are covered

    -In field combat pay is involved and will be discussed throughout the interview process

    -Some mechanical work is involved with this postition

    Responsibilities

    • Set up and operate stick and flux welding equipment to fabricate and repair metal components.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
    • Inspect completed welds for quality and adherence to specifications.
    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
    • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion and address any welding-related issues.
    • Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
    • Stay updated on welding techniques and industry trends to continuously improve skills.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in welding preferred.
    • Proven experience as a stick and flux welder, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints and schematics.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
    • Knowledge of safety procedures and practices in welding operations.
    • Welding certification is a plus but not required.

    Machines & technologies you'll use:

    • Stick Welder
    • Flux-Cored Arc Welder

    Salary info:

    $28 - $31 / hr
