FMM is seeking a motivated professional to fill our Traveling Electrical Project Manager position. FMM is a maintenance and construction company servicing both residential and commercial clients nationwide.
Job Summary: The Traveling Electrical Project Manager will lead and oversee all aspects of electrical projects, from initial planning to final completion, ensuring it’s done on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. They will manage electrical projects in the Tucson area and will travel regionally. Upon completion of these projects is the potential to manage a project in a different area.
Essential Job Duties: (Included but not limited to)
Develops and oversees the implementation of detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Controls project costs and ensures projects stay in budget.
Ensuring project specifications and timelines are kept in compliance.
Manage electrical projects from planning through delivery.
Effectively manage scheduling and resources such as personnel, equipment, and materials.
Ensures all project activities comply with safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
Leads and motivates project teams and provides guidance.
Identifies and resolves issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
Maintains accurate documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
3-5 years’ experience with project management methodologies
Proficiency in maintaining detailed project reports
Ability to manage challenges and lead with confidence
Proven leadership and organizational skills
Strong knowledge of NEC, OSHA, and industry best practices
Proficient in project management software
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
Heavy extended travel is required
Physical Requirements:
Ability to pass a Fit for Duty Screening
Ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening
Ability to pass a motor vehicle report screening
High noise environment
Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and working around construction machinery
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
