    Position Overview

    We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Traveling Executive Chef to support our Healthcare and
    Senior Living culinary operations across multiple locations, primarily Mid Atlantic. This position is
    supporting new business openings. In this role, you will lead kitchen teams, deliver outstanding food
    quality, and ensure operational excellence while traveling to various client communities. This position
    requires strong culinary leadership, adaptability, and dedication to creating memorable dining
    experiences for the patients and residents we serve. MUST RESIDE NEAR MAJOR AIRPORT

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead daily culinary operations across assigned healthcare and senior living communities, ensuring high standards for food quality, sanitation, patient and resident satisfaction
    • Design and implement seasonal and innovative menus that reflect patient and resident preferences, nutritional requirements, and cost targets
    • Manages digital menu planning platforms, ensuring correct build-out of standard recipes, portion guides, nutrition profiles, and vendor item integration
    • Drives financial performance through cost-effective purchasing, waste reduction, inventory controls, and staffing efficiency
    • Recruit, train, develop, and inspire culinary team members, promoting a culture of hospitality, teamwork, and professional growth
    • Maintain and manage food and labor budgets, monitor inventory, and minimize waste while maximizing operational efficiency
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal food safety regulations, including company safety policies and sanitation standards
    • Partner with purchasing and supply chain teams to source high-quality ingredients and maintain strong vendor relationships
    • Provide ongoing coaching, operational support, and leadership coverage as needed during openings, transitions, or staffing changes
    • Monitor evolving industry trends and incorporate creative, resident-focused dining solutions
    • Uphold Forefront’s standards of hospitality and act as an ambassador of our brand in every community served
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Culinary degree and/or equivalent executive-level culinary leadership experience
    • 5+ years of progressive culinary management experience; hotel, senior living or healthcare dining experience preferred
    • Willingness to travel extensively — approximately 75–80% of the time
    • Demonstrated success in menu development, cost control, and kitchen leadership
    • Excellent communication, coaching, and organizational skills
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and kitchen management systems to include recipe, nutrition, and cost control
    • ServSafe certification required, Instructor preferred to lead ongoing food safety training and ensure full compliance with regulatory standards
    • Certified Executive Chef a plus
