    Traveling Journeyman Ironworker - Commercial Construction - Base Salary to 32.00/hour - Atlanta, GA

    • Our client is the largest healthcare modular builder in the nation. They are revolutionizing the design, manufacturing, and construction of healthcare buildings with the aim of doubling quality, delivering projects twice as fast, and enhancing their value. Serving major healthcare providers across the US, their innovative products include free-standing emergency departments, inpatient rehabilitation facilities, primary care clinics, and ambulatory surgery centers.
    • The Traveling Journeyman Ironworker will be responsible for tasks such as welding, rigging, cutting, and installing structures and steel components. This is a traveling position with projects located across the Southeastern US.

    Responsibilities:

    • Cut, shape, and install structural steel and metal components in accordance with blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
    • Perform welding, bolting, and riveting to secure steel structures, beams, columns, and other components.
    • Operate cranes, hoists, and other equipment to lift and position heavy metal components safely and efficiently.
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to ensure a safe working environment, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
    • Inspect work for quality, ensure alignment, and troubleshoot any issues during installation or fabrication.
    • Work closely with other trades, foremen, and project managers to ensure timely and accurate completion of construction projects.

    Qualifications:

    • Proficiency in Welding, complex layout, Rigging, and cranes
    • Experience with Signaling and Rigging
    • Knowledge and practice of Fall protection and safety measures
    • 10-Hour OSHA Certification
    • CSPR-L2 Certification
    • 5+ years of experience in the steel industry is a plus
    • 5+ years of experience in Rigging is a plus
    • Certification in NCCER, NCCO or a related field is a plus

    Compensation:

    • Base salary to 32.00/hour
    • Per Diem of $150/day for food and lodging.
    • PTO
    • Rental vehicles and mileage paid (currently putting together a fleet).
