Pharmacy Compliance Specialist
Job Summary: Responsible for overseeing Federal and State pharmacy regulatory compliance. Responsible for identifying areas of significant pharmacy compliance risk, developing compliance work plans, and assuring execution of the pharmacy compliance program.

Primary Responsibilities:
Audit compliance program and monitoring activities to ensure compliance and identify areas of risk. Communicate, monitor, and analyze data and reports of pharmacy non-compliance. (essential)
Facilitate the investigations and reporting of non-compliance to the Chief Compliance Officer and Pharmacist-In-Charge. (essential)
Ensure that corrective action work plans for non-compliance are developed, documented, communicated, implemented and effective in the mitigation of risk. (essential)
Lead and/or participate in projects related to the design, implementation, revision, and maintenance of processes and systems that promote pharmacy regulatory compliance. (essential)
Develop education related to pharmacy compliance methods that engage adult learners, such as computer-based training courses, in-person educational presentations, guideline documents and other educational tools. Develop ways to monitor and measure effectiveness of such courses initially and over time. (essential)
Maintain all training documentation for the pharmacy staff and schedule training as required by state and federal law. (essential)
Monitor, analyze, interpret, and communicate Federal and State legal and regulatory changes that affect the Pharmacy Compliance Program and establish a multidisciplinary process to implement necessary changes, and communicate these changes to appropriate team members. (essential)
Conducts compounding observation audits, monitors and audits compound logged worksheets and actively conducts training with team members in all areas that are non-compliant. (essential)
Required Qualifications:
Registered Pharmacy Technician.
1 - 2 years related work experience required.
Work experience in Healthcare, specifically Pharmacy preferred.
Working knowledge of state and federal laws.
Experience with computer systems required, including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Access.
Travel will be required to and from Old Town Pharmacy in Monett, MO and Tolson Drug in Jefferson City, MO

Teamwork: Ability to act as a team leader for small projects or work groups, creating a collaborative and respectful team environment and improving workflows. Results may impact the operations of upstream and downstream operations.
Customer Service: Ability to provide a high level of customer service to patients, visitors, staff and external customers in a professional, service-oriented, respectful manner using skills in active listening and problem solving. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
Social/Environmental Requirements:
Work requires close attention to tasks for work to be accurately completed. Intermittent breaks during the workday do not compromise the work.
Work is varied every day, and the employee needs to be adaptable to respond to these changes and use independent judgment and manage priorities.
No substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
Sensory Requirements:
Close work (paperwork, visual examination), Monitor Use, Visual clarity <3 feet, Conversation, Telephone.
Physical Requirements:
Exerting up to 30 lbs of force occasionally in carrying, lifting, pushing, pulling objects. Sitting some of the time, with walking and standing required as well. This job requires frequent keyboard use.
