INDUSTRIAL SALES/BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (DALLAS/FT. WORTH, TX)
Travis Industries, a specialty services contractor providing Industrial Painting & Protective Coatings, Scaffolding, and Insulation Services across the state of Texas, is seeking an individual to prospect new business opportunities in the D/FW and North Texas area based out of our offices in Mansfield, Texas.
The position is responsible for generating sales and bid opportunities in a new region for the company, to include activities such as cold-calling, prospecting, qualifying, and selling to prospective clients in the Industrial Maintenance, New Construction, and/or Oil & Gas industries. The candidate should be self-motivated with the ability to work independently, have time management skills, and exhibit a high level of organization.
DUTIES include, but are not limited to --
- Create and execute a sales plan for the Dallas Fort Worth and North Texas area
- Call on prospective customers to create and maintain Company visibility and solicit bid opportunities
- Develop a Customer base in which to promote the Company and to prospect for potential business
- Develop and deploy marketing materials and efforts emphasizing salable service features
- Develop Proposal Scope(s) of Work, with an emphasis on providing solutions for the Customer
- Generate and present professional Proposals to Customers, to include follow-up post-bid
- Manage accounts of Customer base, to include coordination and advocacy of projects with the Operations team
QUALIFICATIONS include, but are not limited to --
- Degree in Business, Construction Sciences, Engineering or other related fields
- 4+ years sales experience, preferably in the industrial or O&G fields
- Proficiency reading and understanding plans, drawings, and/or technical specifications
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency using computers and electronic means of communication
The candidate should be a service-oriented professional, with the ability to meet and exceed established goals and targets. Past experience in the industrial construction, general construction, oil & gas, or manufacturing fields would be preferred, as would candidates with past craft experience in the service lines offered by the Company. Bi- or multi-lingual candidates are also preferred.
The position is full-time (exempt) and anticipated to be compensated on a salaried basis.
