    Taylor University is seeking applications of candidates for MULTICULTURAL STUDENT RECRUITER.  This is a FULL-TIME, 12 MONTH, NON-EXEMPT position located in Upland, Indiana.  Resumes will be accepted until position is filled.      

     

     

    MISSION STATEMENT:    The mission of Taylor University is to develop servant leaders marked with a passion to minister Christ's redemptive love and truth to a world in need.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:   

    MULTICULTURAL RECRUITMENT

     

    1. Develop strategies and directions for off-campus recruitment of American ethnic students

    2. Coordinate overall strategy for recruiting underrepresented populations

    3. Assist in the process of integrating the needs of prospective American ethnic students throughout the current enrollment management system

    4. Develop ongoing relationships in the areas of Fort Wayne, Chicago, and Indianapolis and other targeted geographic regions with community organizations, pastors and key influencers (i.e. Pursue Scholars, By-The-Hand, Shepherd Community, Center for Leadership Development)

    5. Coordinate on-campus relationships with key institutional partners (Office of Intercultural Programs, Academic Enrichment Center, Counseling Center, Church Relations, etc.) to support first-year retention of American ethnic students

    6. Partner with Church Relations to increase church engagement among this population

     

    INTERNATIONAL RECRUITMENT

     

    1. Review International Student applications to determine Taylor fit
    2. Proactively communicate and engage with prospective international students
    3. Support existing Korean and Chinese student recruitment initiatives
    4. Develop ongoing relationships with strategic global partners; international schools, non-profit/missions organization, churches, etc.
    5. Work closely with agents in ensuring the highest quality students are being delivered
    6. Coordinate with the Director of International Student Programs on International Orientation
    7. Represent Taylor University in key markets and globally

     

    General

     

    1. Assist in the development and revision of promotional materials to effectively represent American ethnic and international students
    2. Support the visit program with on-campus recruitment efforts
    3. Fully utilize Salesforce and the CRM capabilities and tools for recruitment purposes
    4. Travel required especially to the Fort Wayne and Indianapolis areas
    5. Attend professional development seminars and conferences as needed
    6. Represent Taylor on unique committees and boards as needed
    7. Other tasks and projects as assigned

      EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:   Bachelor's degree

     

    START DATE               June 1, 2022
