Reporting to the In Room Dining Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Helps the team and guests by undertaking other duties and responsibilities that may be requested by the team and Manager
- Ensures orders are taken and delivered in a timely and professional manner
- Assist in leading the team and ensure service standards are followed
- Address guest concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Assist in the training of In Room Dining Colleagues
- Balance operational, administrative and Colleague needs
- Participate in regularly scheduled departmental meetings
- Have full knowledge of all In Room Dining menus
- Maximize revenues by following the departmental budget
- Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills
- Successful experience managing all phases of dining services.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of food cooking techniques.
- Strong Back of House and Front of House communications skills.
- Ability to control labor costs.
- Capable of training/overseeing a diverse staff.
- Food service experience in hospitality.
- Strong quality and customer service experience a must.
Required Experience
- Minimum one year food and beverage experience required
- Previous leadership experience required
- Previous Point of Sale System experience an asset
- Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications preferred
- High School or equivalent
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible and reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
