    ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR FOR POLITICAL SCIENCE 

     

     

    THE SUCCESSFUL POLITICAL SCIENCE ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR MUST HAVE A MASTER’S DEGREE IN POLITICAL SCIENCE OR RELATED MASTER’S DEGREE AND AT LEAST 18 GRADUATE CREDIT HOURS IN THE DISCIPLINE TO BE TAUGHT. CTE CLASSES REQUIRE A POSTSECONDARY CTE CREDENTIAL AND THE LEVEL OF EDUCATION MAY VARY BY DISCIPLINE. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE TEACHING IN A COMMUNITY COLLEGE SETTING IS PREFERRED.

  • Qualifications

     

    • Possess good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.
    • Must have knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
    • Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
    • Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations.
    • Working knowledge of safety principles
    • Knowledge of electrical standards for installation and repairs
    • Aptitude for mathematics and science
    • Knowledge about computerized systems
    • A proactive learner with an interest in the latest technology
    • Must speak and understand English.
    • Willing to work weekends.
    • Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time.
