Overview
The Treasury Management Relationship Officer (TMRO) supports the growth, retention, and expansion of treasury management relationships by partnering closely with Business Development Officers, Lenders, and Treasury Management Analyst. This role plays a critical part in the sales process, solution design, and customer onboarding experience to ensure treasury services are delivered accurately, competitively, and efficiently. The TMRO focuses on delivering high-quality treasury solutions that enhance the customer’s operating efficiency, support deposit growth, and drive non-interest income while ensuring a positive experience from proposal through implementation. As a steward of the Bank’s name and reputation, the TMRO must embrace the Bank’s Mission Statement and demonstrate a thorough understanding of the same through conduct and execution of responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Sales & Relationship Support
- Partner with Business Lines in joint calling efforts with existing customers and prospects.
- Assist in identifying treasury management opportunities aligned with client operational needs and cash flow objectives.
- Support the development of tailored treasury solutions designed to enhance operating efficiency, liquidity, and core deposit growth.
- Participate in client presentations, proposal reviews, and follow-up communications as part of the sales and relationship management process.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline tracking for treasury-related opportunities.
- Monitor service utilization and identify opportunities for optimization, expansion, or cross-sell.
- Monitor onboarding progress to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant setup of treasury services.
Proforma Development & Pricing Support
- Prepare treasury management proformas, including account analysis projections and ECR analysis.
- Ensure pricing accuracy and competitiveness in alignment with bank strategy, profitability goals, and risk standards.
- Present and explain proformas to internal partners and clients, when appropriate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or Accounting. MBA preferred.
- Minimum 3 years banking experience. Experience in Treasury Services preferred.
- Minimum 5 years experience in silent relationship management, monitoring and responding to subtle shifts in a customer's banking behavior.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills (verbal and written) and an intentional, insightful and discerning listener.
- Trustworthy, conscientious, courteous, stable temperament, self-motivated, highly organized and highly accountable for personal conduct, actions and decisions.
- Willing and able to take decisive actions within the scope of bank policies and procedural guidelines.
- Strong consensus builder, comfortable with rendering and implementing decisions relevant to the consideration of loan opportunities presented to the Bank.
- Strong mathematical and grammatical aptitude.
- Must be proficient in MS Office and computerized word processor functions and programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Windows, Excel, Quicken or other similar programs.
- Must possess the desire and ability to learn automated data-analysis tools and techniques.
