    Summary:

    The Deposit Operations Associate is responsible for supporting the treasury and operations teams with daily transaction reconciliation, trust accounting, and related treasury management activities. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that all transactions are accurately processed and recorded in compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    Treasury Management:

    • Daily Transaction Reconciliation: Reconcile daily financial transactions, including bank transactions, client account activities, and trust accounts. Ensure accuracy and timeliness in recording all transactions.
    • Trust Accounting: Manage trust accounts, ensuring that all entries are accurate, and accounts are balanced according to legal and company standards.
    • Transaction Execution: Execute and monitor financial transactions, such as wire transfers and ACH payments, ensuring compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
    • Bank Relationship Management: Assist in maintaining and monitoring relationships with banking partners, ensuring that all account activities align with company policies.
    • Reporting: Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to treasury activities, including transaction summaries and account reconciliations.
    • Compliance & Audits: Support internal and external audits by providing accurate records and reports related to treasury management and trust accounting. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

    Technology & Process Improvement:

    • System Enhancements: Assist in the development and enhancement of proprietary treasury management systems to improve efficiency and accuracy in daily operations.
    • Process Documentation: Document treasury management procedures and processes to ensure consistency and compliance across the department.

    Qualifications:

    To succeed in this role, the individual must meet the following requirements:

    • Understanding of Treasury Operations: Strong understanding of treasury management principles, trust accounting, and transaction reconciliation.
    • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all transactions and reconciliations.
    • Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with treasury management software.

    Education & Experience:

    • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
    • Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of experience in treasury management, trust accounting, or a related role.

    Licenses & Certifications:

    • Minimum: None required.
    • Preferred: Accredited ACH Professional (AAP), Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or similar certification. Bank operations or retail banking backgroud desired but not required.

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Accuracy & Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy in all tasks, with an emphasis on transaction reconciliation and trust accounting.
    • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with colleagues and external partners.
    • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational, time management, and planning abilities.
    • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
    • Critical Thinking: Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.

    Working Conditions:

    • Environment: Traditional office environment with no unusual work conditions.
    • Physical Demands: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer, frequent use of a keyboard with repetitive motions, light lifting (up to 25 lbs.), and occasional travel (<10%) for training or vendor meetings.
