Treatment Consultant — Northwest Arkansas Orthodontic Practice
$48K base · $80-95K OTE · $100K+ for top performers (yes, really — details below )
We've spent years building a practice that does this work the right way. We're not just slapping braces on kids with crooked teeth. Our focus is on early expansion in children to improve their airway, sleep, and long-term health, and on guiding older children and adults toward better breathing and overall wellness. We coordinate care across a network of specialists and resources from around the country, because real airway and health outcomes don't come from one provider working alone. We believe our job is to educate families about what's actually happening with their child's development (or their own health) so they can make a good decision, not to scare them or sell them something they don't need. We're growing, and we need to add a Treatment Consultant who can do something most practices don't even know to ask for: help people see the value of investing in their long-term health, and guide them to a confident yes without pressure or gimmicks.
Here's what the role actually looks like. You'll sit across from 20-25 patients and parents every week weighing a $5,000 to $15,000 decision about their child's development, their airway, their sleep, their long-term health, and yes, their smile too. For a lot of these families, this is the most important health investment they'll ever make for their child, and they don't fully understand why yet. Your job is to help them understand what's at stake (chronic mouth-breathing, poor sleep, behavioral and learning issues, lifelong consequences of underdeveloped airways), what their options are, and whether now is the right time. You'll own the consultation, walk through financing, handle the real questions (can we afford this? is this really necessary? what happens if we wait?), and help ready families move forward. You'll also be the reason hesitant patients trust us instead of shopping around, ignoring the problem, or putting their child's health on the back burner for another five years they don't get back.
Let's be real, this is a sales role, and we're not going to pretend otherwise. But it's a sales role inside a practice that has spent years building its reputation on relationships, honesty, and giving people thorough and straightforward treatment recommendations rooted in real health outcomes. We don't want a closer who pressures, manipulates, or pushes unqualified starts. We want a consultative pro who genuinely believes that airway-focused care changes lives (because it does) and can help patients and parents see that for themselves. If you've worked in a high-pressure ortho or dental chain and you're over being measured only on starts at any cost, this could be the place for you.
Here's the kind of person we're looking for:
Here's what ISN'T required:
Real talk on compensation (no bullshit, no mystery boxes):
Plus the benefits we offer (because our team is our most important asset, and we put our money where our mouth is):
Think this might be for you? In your cover letter, tell us about a time you helped someone make a decision to invest in themselves or their family's health, even when they were hesitant. What did you say? What did you learn?
