We are seeking a professional, organized, and patient-focused Treatment Coordinator to work with our general dentist. The Treatment Coordinator serves as a key liaison between the doctor, clinical team, and patients by helping patients understand recommended treatment, financial arrangements, scheduling, and overall care coordination. This individual plays an important role in case acceptance, patient experience, and maintaining an efficient daily schedule.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Present and explain treatment plans in a clear, confident, and compassionate manner
Review insurance benefits, estimates, financing options, and payment arrangements with patients
Coordinate scheduling for restorative, implant, cosmetic, hygiene, and specialty procedures
Monitor and follow up on unscheduled treatment plans to improve case acceptance
Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-authorizations as needed
Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes within practice management software
Communicate effectively with doctors, hygienists, assistants, and administrative team members
Assist in managing daily schedule productivity and minimizing cancellations or gaps
Provide excellent customer service and create a positive patient experience
Handle patient concerns professionally and escalate issues appropriately when needed
Support office goals related to collections, production, and patient retention
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of dental front office or treatment coordinating experience preferred
Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes
Experience with Open Dental software preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
Professional appearance and positive attitude
Ability to discuss financial arrangements confidently and professionally
Strong attention to detail and follow-through
Experience with implants, full-arch, or cosmetic dentistry is a plus
High level of emotional intelligence and patient relationship skills
Ability to build trust and increase treatment acceptance
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Strong phone and scheduling skills
Understanding of production goals and schedule optimization
