Position Summary:
The Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator/Sales Consultant plays a vital role in driving practice growth by guiding patients through their orthodontic treatment journey. This position combines sales, education, and relationship-building with a patient-focused approach. You’ll be the first point of contact for new patients, walk them through their orthodontic options, review financials, and help them say “yes” to starting treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Consultations
Welcome and build rapport with new patients and families.
Take patient photos, x-rays, and scans accurately and efficiently.
Present treatment options and clearly explain the benefits of orthodontics.
Support the doctor during exams and relay treatment recommendations.
Sales amp; Case Acceptance:
Present financial options and payment plans confidently.
Follow up with prospective patients who haven’t yet started treatment.
Track and achieve monthly goals.
Communication amp; Coordination:
Serve as the main point of contact for new patients.
Communicate effectively with clinical staff to ensure a seamless patient experience.
Maintain organized patient notes and follow-up tasks in the practice software.
Education amp; Relationship Building:
Educate patients and parents about the value and process of orthodontic treatment.
Build lasting relationships that encourage referrals and positive reviews.
Professional Representation:
Uphold the practice’s image and core values in every interaction.
Complies with HIPAA, OSHA, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Ideal Candidate:
Warm, approachable and able to build rapport quickly.
Strong background in sales, hospitality, fitness, retail, or service industries.
Excellent communicator with genuine warmth, empathy, and professionalism.
Confidently present treatment options and fees, helping patients make informed decisions.
Collaborate effectively with patients and team members, demonstrating reliability, a positive attitude, and strong interpersonal skills.
Demonstrates exceptional organizational skills, effective time management, and consistent attention to detail.
High level integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information.
Preferred:
X-ray certification
Experience in a dental or orthodontic setting. (Training provided)
