Finance Business Analyst / Reporting Role: at a leading networking firm in Bay Area

IMPORTANT : This is a hybrid role and NOT a 100% remote position. You are currently expected to be onsite in the San Jose / Milpitas area for a minimum of 2 days/week but expect to be fully on-site if needed by the team

You will work closely with the management team and a broad range of cross-functional partners including engineering, Sales, and Finance FP&A. Primary responsibilities include driving the reporting and planning cadence and FP &A support and monitoring key SaaS metrics.
Must have skills and experience:
- Expertise in Accruals, forecasting, and variance analysis. Accruals, PO, and PR
- Be able to effectively communicate numbers to managers
Other responsibilities include:
- Build strong partnerships with Engineering, Sales, and Finance teams to align requirements and provide insightful business and finance dashboards
- Proactively identify, develop, and implement enhancements to existing reporting and business processes
- Partner with management on forecast, spend, portfolio investments, and resourcing aligned to the annual plan
- Responsible for the revenue forecasting process, including improving accuracy and understanding forecast drivers
- Manage ongoing SaaS reporting metrics, and key financial information for effective decision-making
- Work with IT towards the development of systems infrastructure to support the growth of SaaS businesses
Who You Are
- You are a creative-thinking, high-energy finance professional who is dedicated to fostering a teamwork environment and have the ability to recommend alternative solution to a problem or request
- BS degree in accounting, finance, or business with 5-10 years of relevant experience
- SaaS business experiences. Experience in enterprise technologies is a plus
- Post Oracle Journal Entries, Essbase Reports, Hyperion end user
- Strong analytical skills & attention to detail, with the ability to calibrate communications to the level of detail appropriate to the situation and audience
- Self Starter who regularly takes initiative and can juggle multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating creativity and judgment while prioritizing appropriately to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment
- Hands-on experience in Business Objects, Hyperion, Essbase /SmartView, Tableau, and a high level of proficiency in Excel is required
