    Treepeople is currently searching for a MARKETING AND SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER to join their team!

    This position will report directly to the Director of Marketing and Communications

    The MARKETING AND SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER is key to supporting the Marketing and Communications team in managing and executing all marketing and social media efforts for Los Angeles’ largest environmental movement.

    The successful candidate will have a proven track record of creating and managing marketing campaigns and digital platforms to significantly grow an organization’s brand and social media presence. This person will be key to creating and leading TreePeople’s marketing campaigns and brand partnerships, including overseeing the organization’s digital fundraising platforms and leading our social media strategies.

    The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have passion for data to drive marketing strategies aimed at expanding our base of support. The successful candidate will be able to collect and synthesize analytics to design and implement strategies that maximize and augment TreePeople’s brand, with the goal of growing the organization’s volunteer and donor base.

    ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Create and oversee digital marketing campaigns based upon TreePeople’s brand, key messages, and strategic priorities
    • Create, edit, share, curate and manage content, focusing on written and visual stories to increase engagement with targeted audiences, including donors, volunteers, policy makers and the population at large.
    • Establishing and managing brand partnerships and influencer relations.
    • Work closely with TreePeople’s philanthropy team to manage and grow fundraising operations across digital platforms; including social media presence and ad-buy, peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns as well as the Tree Dedication program’s digital presence in order to meet the organization's fundraising goals.
    • Manage brand activations and audience experiences to maximize engagement.
    • Execute a social media strategy developed with the Director of Marketing and Communications.
    • Community management via monitoring, listening, and responding to users via TreePeople’s social media platforms.
    • Manage and maintain social media platform content and design (i.e. Facebook timeline cover, profile pic, thumbnails, ads, landing pages, Twitter profile, and blog), working closely with TreePeople’s Graphic Designer.
    • Manage photo, story and video assets.
    • Design, create, and manage promotions and social ads.
    • Stay current with all social media and marketing trends on existing and future platforms.
    • Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.
    • Analyze campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising the digital campaigns.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • BA in Communications, Marketing or a related field strongly preferred
    • 3-5 years of marketing, brand and social media management.
    • Experience in running brand and marketing campaigns.
    • Experience in partnership and influencer relations highly preferred.
    • Excellent writing, copyediting and proofreading skills is a must.
    • Digital fundraising experience is highly preferred.
    • Experience with QGIV or similar peer-to-peer fundraising platforms.
    • Experience in storytelling and the creation of engaging content that creates a call to action for audiences across multiple audiences and digital platforms.
    • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
    • Work experience in non-profit sector preferred.
    • Work in the policy/advocacy sector is a plus.
    • Design and Photoshop skills ideal.
    • Multilingual, especially Spanish bilingual is a plus.
