Job Description
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
· Managing Federal and state court filings, including E-Filing in federal court. We are mainly focused on Federal litigation.
· Managing and organizing cases for attorneys, including scheduling and calendaring for attorney meetings, court deadlines, depositions, mail, etc.
· Managing the firm's client retention, which will include managing the firm's social media pages and other forms of advertising, communicating with potential clients on a regular basis, and completing intake sheets.
· Assisting attorneys in editing and drafting letters, pleadings, briefs, discovery requests, and other litigation documents.
· Document organization for the firm's cloud-based storage, including organization of case documents, client documents, correspondence, and files into a manageable format.
· Strong worth ethic and hungry to learn.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Proven work experience in the legal field or a current law student.
· Prior experience in speaking with clients and potential clients.
· Prior experience working with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Bluebooking, and court filing in the Federal ECF system.
· Experience with document management (e.g., iManage, MyCase, or other document storage software) preferred.
· Candidate should be proactive in handling necessary tasks for busy attorneys without constant oversight, such as monitoring incoming documents from the Court and calendaring as needed.
· The ideal candidate will take the initiative, have strong attention to detail, be highly organized, and have impeccable communication skills.
