Manager, FP&A for a Popular E-Commerce Retailer
Our client is a global leader in quick-to-market, cutting-edge fashion and remains a fast-growing e-commerce retailer with one of the world’s leading lifestyle brands and over 20 million followers. They are seeking a Manager/Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis to spearhead data-heavy P&L forecasting, financial reporting, and budgeting. The ideal candidate will be an analytics-focused utility player with experience using data to draw insights and provide recommendations for the business.
This is an in-person role in Beverly Hills, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Dig into data queues, extract conclusions, and provide insights and recommendations to the Head of FP&A and adjacent teams
- Collaborate with business partners and key stakeholders on forecasting and budgeting across multiple regions
- Analyze sales, order, and unit volumes to assist the operations team in building daily, weekly, and monthly unit capacity plans
- Scrutinize expenses and provide recommendations for improvement to key leadership figures
- Design financial KPI scorecards and management dashboards
- Build complex models to evaluate the effectiveness of strategic initiatives
- ID opportunities for continuous improvement to process effectiveness, technology, productivity, and automation
- Train new Financial Analysts on policies, procedures, systems, and best practices
- Understand the impact of direct spending and how it affects pick/pack efficiency, allocation of labor, etc.
- Serve as versatile analytical lead in other functions across the company as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, required
- 4-6+ years of experience in FP&A and data analytics, ideally with 2+ years of i-banking or management consulting and 2+ years in an in-house finance role
- Expert forecasting, variance analysis, budgeting, and management reporting skills
- Strong track record of using data to solve complex business challenges
- Familiarity with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (MS Access, SQL, etc.) and other financial systems (Oracle, JD Edwards, SAP, etc.)
- Ability to work independently, cross-functionally, and as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to create financial models and provide insights-driven recommendations to improve business processes and policies
