Summary The Junior Process Engineer is responsible for the analysis of methods, processes, tools and systems required for the company's manufacturing and fabrication activities in support of TSS Denver's Vision-Mission-Values (VMV). Defines and develops the most efficient manufacturing process methods, parameters, and procedures. Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Performs research and analysis tasks to determine best process design approach. - Involved in the selection of the most appropriate and cost-effective manufacturing engineering tools, machines, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. - Investigates manufacturing costs and provides manufacturing process adjustments and improvements. - Determines equipment requirements to ensure equipment is compatible with process. - Provides technical assistance to implement manufacturing new technology. - Follows existing documentation practices and continuously looks for improvements. - Operates under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment. - Demonstrates understanding, support and consistent application of our Vision, Mission and Core Values - Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience This position requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Must have ability to work in a team environment with other departments such as Production and Materials Management. - Ability to analyze situations and determine logical and reasonable solutions. - Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal with team members and all levels of the organization. - Must have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. - Proven project and time management skills. - Advanced Microsoft Excel. - Must have a high level of attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills. - Knowledge of materials and material requirements. - Ability to promote continuous improvement priorities while achieving desired results. - Demonstrated ability to achieve set goals on time. Work Environment/Physical Demands/Equipment Used This position is located in a manufacturing facility which requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, squatting, twisting, and bending. This position requires approximately 50% of time spent on the production floor and 50% in a general office environment. Requires lifting up to 50 lbs.
