About this position
The marketing internship allows you to experience the day-to-day demands on a marketing professional in a dynamic financial services organization. Under the supervision of the Marketing Director you will assist with a variety of marketing and social media initiatives.
Draft and edit content for distribution via social media channels
Help manage social media channels (Facebook, Linkedin) using our broker-dealer regulated communications platform
Monitor channels on a daily basis, compile, interpret and report on analytics on a weekly basis
Brainstorm ideas for engaging social media campaigns directed at various target markets (recruits and prospective clients)
Assist in coordination of online and print direct mail and advertising
Assist in coordination of trade shows, conferences, seminars and other events
Communication is the backbone of this position: strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a changing environment
Excellent follow-up skills, the ability to proactively prevent problems and the leadership to resolve issues
Fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet research; the desire and ability to learn other software programs as needed
Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team
A successful candidate for this internship will be expected to work 20 hours per week.
