Do you want to work with a boutique, dynamic, woman-of-color-owned, full-service intellectual property law firm from the comfort of your own home, while helping game-changing entrepreneurs use their intangible assets to build a financial legacy? We are an entrepreneurial intellectual property firm that is on track for aggressive growth and we need an experienced IP paralegal to join our team and work directly with the firm’s founder/managing attorney and other attorneys to support the team and help clients. We want to be known for helping our clients leverage their IP to make more money for their families and legacies overall. Because what’s more empowering than calling the shots of your own destiny? We are growing fast and need a paralegal who can hit the ground running. ABOUT THE JOB: This is a full-time job where you are expected to oversee and manage our IP portfolio, so you absolutely must be available 40 hours a week. This is an exempt, salaried position. Salary commensurate with experience. We offer contributions towards your health insurance, and unrestricted PTO, and are completely remote (meaning we don’t care if you’re in San Diego or not). The position requires adherence to the firm’s hours, which means 8 am – 5 pm pacific time. If you are outside our time zone, but willing to work our time zone’s hours, that is acceptable. The first 90 days are not subject to any company benefits. TO APPLY: Please provide and resume and a cover letter of no more than TWO paragraphs and a closing sentence. In the first paragraph, explain what you believe are the most important qualities needed in someone who works with intellectual property clients and why you believe they are the most important qualities. In the second paragraph, explain why you applied to this particular ad.
