  • Responsibilities

    The College & Career Readiness program is looking for an outgoing, dynamic individual with excellent customer service skills, who works well within a team setting, to administer program assessments and meet individually with students to interpret test results and assist with identifying educational goals.  Educational experience is preferred.  Delivery of program orientation to the public is also required.  The job candidate must be willing to travel to all off campus program locations, during evening hours, as needed.  Candidate will certify to administer all program assessments, both paper/pencil and computer-based.  Training is provided. 

    Required Skills

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  

    1. Provide initial information regarding admittance into the CCR/ABE program
    2. Schedule and administer program assessments
    3. Conduct student orientations
    4. Advise students on assessment results
    5. Assist students in accurately completing necessary forms
    6. Be familiar with program curriculum
    7. Work closely with instructors for appropriate student class placement
    8. Assist with recruitment activities
    9.  Maintain hard-copy student files
    10. Track student post-testing needs
    11. Travel to off campus sites for testing and Intake duties, as necessary
    12. Communicate in a clear, concise, courteous, and professional manner
    13. Participate in professional development, as required

     

    SPECIFIC SKILLS PREFERRED/REQUIRED

     

    1. Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    2. Ability to work in a highly fluid environment, while maintain good working relationships
    3. Ability to manage conflict in a courteous and professional manner
    4. Possess excellent customer service skills
    5. Ability to maintain confidentiality in all student matters
    6. Possess excellent oral and written communication skill
    7. Ability to work as part of a team
    8. Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred

    Required Experience

         

    TECHNICAL EXPERTISE PREFERRED/REQUIRED

    •  Acquire and maintain certifiction to administer program assessments
    •  Basic knowledge of computers and Microsoft suite of programs (Word, Excel, etc.) required
    • Sufficient computer competency to troubleshoot technological problems required

     

    EDUCATION / TRAINING PREFERRED/REQUIRED

    • Associate degree in an education-related field, required
    • Background in teaching, counseling, and/or testing, or demonstrated experience in an educational/advisory setting, preferred
