    TRI POINTE HOMES IS LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED, ENTHUSIASTIC INDIVIDUAL TO JOIN OUR TALENTED GROUP AS AN IT BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST IN OUR HOME OFFICE

    POSITION HIGHLIGHTS: 

    The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) provides enterprise-wide support for TRI Pointe Homes Hyphen BuildPro, JD Edwards applications. The BSA is the first line of support for end-users and the company’s foremost expert on Hyphen BuildPro, JD Edwards Homebuilding functionality, and associated applications.  The BSA works closely with business process owners, subject matter experts (SME’s), IT resources, vendors/third-party consultants on the resolution of system issues, development of ad hoc reports, evaluation of enhancement requests, identification, and delivery of solutions to meet business needs.  

    The Homebuilding BSA leads process analysis and reviews with business process owners and SME’s to develop solutions that improve operating efficiencies and optimize the use of JD Edwards and Hyphen.  The BSA prepares business requirements and functional specifications for any system/software development, tests, and delivers system changes for his/her functional area. 

    The BSA is also responsible for maintaining and developing educational materials and providing end-user training for the Hyphen BuildPro, JD Edwards applications, and associated system process. 

     

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide support for all business divisions by troubleshooting, investigating, and resolving systems/process issues. Prioritize and resolve issues by collaborating with vendors, third-party consultants, and IT resources.
    • Provide assistance and advice to business users in the effective use of applications and information technology
    • Work closely with business process owners and stakeholders to identify and prioritize system enhancement requests. Gather and document business requirements for system enhancements. Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical development.
    • Maintain lists of business requests for vendors’ system enhancements and defects. Work with vendors to resolve system issues, roll out new software releases and enhancements to business divisions including change management, communication, and training.
    • Develop in-depth knowledge of the company’s business processes and how business processes interact with systems.
    • Develop an in-depth system for reporting and integration knowledge for all systems’ functionalities and their applications for Construction and Customer Care end-users.
    • Function as a subject matter expert for the Construction and Customer Care systems/applications such as Hyphen BuildPro and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
    • Develop and maintain user documentation including training plan and materials, communication plan, and change management plan.
    • Maintain security documents related to SOX compliance
    • Maintain application security including user accounts, system roles, profiles, and other permission controls.
    • Coordinate implementations, system upgrades, system/data migrations, and software releases.
    • Assist in vendor management including issues resolutions, evaluation of vendors’ work proposals, maintaining task lists, status updates, delivery of vendors’ solutions to end-users.
    • Assist in project management including plan development, estimates, feasibility, coordinating and executing technology projects, maintaining task lists, status updates, etc.
    • Develop and coordinate communication plan.
    • Lead communication, change management, training for all system/software releases, enhancements, projects affecting Construction / Operation and Customer Care end-users.

     

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or information management is required.
    • A minimum of 7 years experience in business systems/applications and construction-related process experience.
    • Highly organized. Strong listening skills. Ability to multi-task in a dynamic, high-energy environment. Capable of successfully advancing multiple initiatives/projects/activities at once.
    • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work across both technical and business lines at all levels of the organization.
    • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision and achieve quality results.
    • Proven analytical, reasoning, problem-solving, and critical thinking skill.
    • Knowledge of Homebuilding, Job Cost, and Procurement practices for the construction industry, specifically job schedules management, warranty management, and how they work within overall homebuilding lifecycle and processes.
