    JOB SUMMARY

     

    Viejas Casino and Resort is hiring now for our Four Diamond culinary venues.

     

    We have openings in our signature restaurant featuring farm to table California inspired cuisine, our brand new Ginger Noodle Bar, and in our fabulous buffet. Now is the time to join our Food & Beverage team!

     

    We have both full and part- time positions available. Listed below are some of our current openings

    • COOK II/III FINE DINING
    • ASIAN CUISINE COOKS

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

     

    Viejas is a 24/7 operation, so scheduling flexibility is a must. The ideal candidate must be available to work a variety of shifts. 1-2 years of experience is preferred, must be 21 years of age or older. Must be able to obtain a San Diego Food Handlers card.

    Required Skills

    Here are a few of the responsibilities:

    • Maintains high standards of quality and appearance for all food prepared and served
    • Responsible for the preparation of food items. Checks prep list, inventory on hand against projected needs to determine the items that are needed for the day
    • Prepares and cooks food orders, including meat, fish, poultry and related items according to prescribed menus or recipes in a prompt and accurate manner
    • Observes and tests food being cooked by tasting, smelling, and piercing with cooking utensil to determine that food is cooked properly according to specifications
