    JOB SUMMARY

    MONDAY-FRIDAY 8AM-5PM

    Primarily responsible for buying parts for repair service items and inventory, while providing technical support to the production team on an as needed basis.  Parts buyers are responsible for maintaining inventory and accurate product data on items to support the production staff and must continually ensure that purchase orders are processed in an efficient and profitable manner.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Work with technicians to identify active and obsolete parts by providing technical support & item research that’s required to complete repairs.
    • Manage pricing/RFQs to help determine accurate and profitable repair pricing. Procure components from multiple sourcing options, ensuring the best cost savings to Radwell and profitably priced inventory for stock.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with global suppliers for the best cost and most efficient ordering. Maintain and update vendor and sourcing information in multiple software platforms. Evaluate vendors continuously on quality, price, and lead time to ensure highest possible repair success rate.
    • Determine, communicate, and track estimated lead times to our technicians and customers in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Create complete & accurate part numbers, product descriptions, cross references and product data while maintaining updated cost/list pricing in systems associated to product sourcing.
    • Monitor and maintain inventory levels by setting stocking parameters according to instructions provided, ensuring both profitability and availability of stocked items. Items stocked must apply to both internal and external uses/customers.
    • Work directly with the Radwell Brand Manager to create verified subs for products
    • Maintain Awaiting Parts, Parts Review, Needs Sourcing, Needs Research, In-House Summary Reports in Spectrum for assigned technicians in a timely manner
    • Update each repair that requires parts to the proper status including a processing note with PO information and expected due dates. Move each repair into the correct status once completed.
    • Prioritize Warranty and RUSH repairs.
    • Communicate all delayed delivery dates of parts through Spectrum email to @Production.
    • Cover work overflow from other Repair lines, including other branches when needed.
    • Maintain Expedite report proactively to insure on-time delivery dates.
    • Support other buyers & Radwell branches with duties listed above when needed. And work with company and branch management to help develop/maintain the most efficient processes regarding all duties listed above.
    • Interface with parts storage and warehouse management teams, assist in ensuring inventory is stored, moved, and stocked most efficiently
    • Provide oversight and training of associated roles when needed; including other parts buyers and parts operations employees, possibly at other branches.

     May be modified from time to time. Other duties, tasks and work may be assigned.

     

    METRICS

    To be determined by the company goal requirements, in accordance with the workflow of all units coming into Parts from all areas for repair purposes. Parts must be purchased in a timely manor without letting units linger beyond their prescribed due dates. Buyer is tracked on Items Planned, P/N’s created with complete descriptions, Cost/List pricing, PO Expedites up to date weekly, RVS developed products

     

    BONUS/COMMISSION PLAN

    Eligible for commission after successful completion of introductory 90 days.

  • Qualifications

    MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an Approved School of Nursing.

    REQUIRED LICENSES: [Kentucky, United States] Registered Nurses  Must be licensed by the state of Kentucky as a Registered Nurse, as well as NRP/BLS/ACLS certified.
