  • Responsibilities

    What You Will Do:

    We are seeking an Environmental Test Technician! In this role, you will utilize production test equipment to perform testing on aircraft instruments, displays, and computers. Environmental tests include HASS, thermal and vibration testing. With minimal oversight, you will be responsible for following work instructions to set up fixtures and test equipment to test products, as called out in test documents. Upon completion of a test, you will be required to enter results into our ERP System.

    This on-site position is located at our Headquarters in Oak Creek, WI. This is a third shift position (11:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.). Depending on your experience, you may need to train on 1st (7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. or 2nd shift (3 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.). You will report directly to the Supervisor of Electronic Assembly and Support.

    **How You Will Do It:

    **

    • Perform environmental (thermal) testing on aircraft instruments, displays, and computers.
    • Perform vibration tests. Must be able to set up and tear down fixtures per specification.
    • Enter test results into our Failure Report System.
    • Communicate with technicians during daily shift change meetings.

    • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
    • Minimum two years of experience working in an environmental or product testing function.
    • Ability to troubleshoot test equipment.
    • Ability to comprehend electronic and mechanical drawings.
    • The ability to use a computer for data entry.
    • Must be detail-oriented and have good time management skills.
    • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work independently on assignments.
    • Must be able to lift, push, or pull vibration fixtures short distances weighing up to 50 pounds.

    • Associate’s degree in an Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical program.
    • Two years of experience in electronics and testing operations.
    • Experience with environmental chambers and vibration tables.
    • Able to work with different software programs: MS Office, DOS, LabVIEW, etc.

  • Qualifications
    • Cover a well-established territory maintaining and growing current accounts, developing new business opportunities, and growing the market in the territory
    • The primary role will be to target industrial, utility, data center, power generation (conventional, wind and solar), and electrical contractors to sell CBS full line of electrical testing, engineering, manufacturing and apparatus services;
    • Partner with our inside sales team, product specialists and our engineering team to plan, prepare and execute on complex electrical system upgrade projects.
    • Successfully match customer plan/requirements to proposed solutions.
    • Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition.
    • Manage all technical aspects of RFP / RFI responses.
    • Effectively communicate client needs to the engineering or production team insuring customer satisfaction.
    • Establish relationships with manufacturers, contractors, end-users, and engineering firms to promote CBS full line of services.
    • Support customer accounts with Sales, securing Purchase Orders, collecting overdue invoices, and maintaining strong customer relations.
