    SUMMARY: Working with the corporate leadership team and business unit leaders is responsible for the acquisition of new business.  This is a hands-on position requiring the ability to identify and pursue sales opportunities for Qlarant products and services primarily in state and federal government as well as new market identification and penetration.  Requires considerable interaction with both internal and external resources including but not limited to business unit leaders, subject matter experts, proposal management, and state and federal government officials.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Identify and qualify new business opportunities - primarily federal and state agencies dealing with health, healthcare, quality improvement, and/or fraud/waste/abuse of healthcare services; analyzing opportunities and appropriately assessing their value to the company.
    • Own and exceed annual sales targets.
    • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting.
    • Develop a sales strategy to proactively pursue new opportunities.
    • Interact and coordinate with members of the Proposal Development Team and business unit leaders for proposal and other sales efforts as required.
    • Build and maintain strong, lasting customer relationships; contribute to high level of customer satisfaction
    • Partner with potential customers to understand business needs and objectives.
    • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.

    • Proven healthcare sales experience in state and federal government.

    • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels on an organization.
    • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to closure. Ability to oversee and manage multiple complex bids and proposals.
    • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree required. Master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of ten years’ experience in the field selling to state and federal government.  
    • Extensive knowledge of the health care industry, issues, trends and competitors and have a demonstrated record of success in business development to win federal/state/private contracts.
    • Prefer experience is Sales Force
    • Prefer experience in software sales
    • Prefer experience in IR&D 
    • Prefer experience in proposal development
