JOB TITLE: Software Architect Java

LOCATION: Position is 100% remote

COMPENSATION: $140,000 - $170,000 Annually

COMPANY: Our client is a commercial Lender that was just given a multi million dollar grant from Goldman Sachs. They are ranked 2nd in CDFI SBA Community Advantage Loans, and they are partnered with more than 30 institutional partners to include investment and retail banks, foundations, fintech companies, and governmental entities. POSITION OVERVIEW:

A Senior Architect supports our sales efforts with prospects and partners. In this position you will architect platforms and make design decisions. This role is the go-to person for all back and front-end systems and infrastructure. Working with infrastructure, program management, engineering, and product teams to refine and deliver the strategies and build technical & solution architecture for large initiatives. Our senior architect will work with partners and conduct technical assessments and impact analysis.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Effectively communicate technology strategies and trade-offs
• Sales-minded problem-solver with strong technical skills
• Analyzing raw datasets
• Responsible for creating simple API’s, easy integration patterns for external services
• Develop and govern repeatable design strategies and patterns to ensure consistent solutions
• Work with the engineering team on Proof of Concepts
• Skilled at coming up with technical solutions to help tackle business problems
• Familiar with enterprise data platforms and software tools including data, analytics, cloud, marketing automation, and CRM.
• Strong technical abilities, including writing scripts to collect, store, and analyze data, and developing demos that use APIs.
• Skilled at scoping, prioritizing and leading projects from start to finish.
• Review solution designs to determine their technical viability and their relevance to the business goals

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 7+ years’ experience as a software engineer
• 6+ years professional experience building complex, scalable web and database applications
• Experience with AWS Devops and MySQL
• Experience building/consuming RESTful web-services
• Strong experience with one or more JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, JQuery,
• Knowledge and experience in high scale, highly available systems
• Experience with the design and operation of large-scale cloud services
• Experience with development methodologies
• Ability and desire to move across technology stacks fluently and easily
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead various Technology Assessments.
• Broader knowledge of infrastructure and info security
• Delivering proof of concepts and reference implementations
