    SCHEDULE: M-F 12:00 - 10:00   4 x 10 hour shifts                                                                                                   

    The VIRTUAL SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR (VSA) is critical to the success of our customers. The selected candidate will primarily be responsible for handling operations, provisioning and support of customers on our Cloud Delivered Desktop platform. This unique technical position will support every aspect of the customer from sales thru support.  This individual will be responsible for establishing a relationship with our customers and will be the face and voice of the company.

    VIRTUAL SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide day to day support of 24x7x365 technical operations. Including virtual desktop performance troubleshooting, access issues and general troubleshooting/problem solving
    • Maintain critical infrastructure systems and applications including, Active Directory, VMware vSphere, VMware vCloud Director, VMware vShield, PowerShell, PERL, VB scripting, Monitoring, DHCP, Lite-touch automated deployment and DNS services
    • Deploy virtual desktops to customers and support integration and onboarding efforts
    • Establish a solid relationship with the customer and become their trusted advisor
    • Assist with the development and maintenance of technology, tools, operating processes and procedures
    • Innovate, find new and better ways of supporting and delivering services to our customers
    • Develop and manage relationships with customers through sales presentations, provisioning and technical support
    • Assist the sales team members with sales engineering and customer on-boarding as required
    • Support the sales and client relations team members with customer support and communication
    • Own the customer relationship; maintain positive customer relations post installation in support of future account growth
    • Work with the team to establish best practices that benefit and improve the quality and predictability of the offering
    • Promote an environment that encourages open communication and coordination
    • Manage expectations by building relationships and communicating effectively
    • Complete weekly and other regular reports as required
    • Help establish and support a “Can Do” culture
    • Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities required by the business
    • Maintain competency and enhance professional growth and development through continuing education and development

    REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

    • 3 plus years supporting Windows Desktop environments in a help desk setting
    • 3 plus years of customer facing interaction and direct end user support
    • 3 Plus years in a managed services environment or a combination of hosting experience and equivalent certification(s)
    • 2 plus years using VMware Virtualization in a production capacity (3.5, 4.x, 5.x)
    • 5 plus years of professional work with Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop operating systems (Windows Server 2003-2008R2 and Windows XP-8)
    • Working knowledge of network communications
    • Working knowledge of system security standards
    • Able to function effectively and independently with ever changing situations and assignments
    • Proven experience working with executives, senior leadership, sales and other departments
    • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills

    PREFERRED:

    • Experience working for a Hosting company is highly preferred

    EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS

    ·         Microsoft certification(s) MCITP, MCTS and or MCSE preferred

    ·         VMware Certified Professional (VCP) preferred

    ·         Bachelor’s degree in IT technology-related discipline preferred
