Personal care attendants help people with disabilities live independently in their own homes and communities. Personal care attendants work with the elderly and people with disabilities.
Personal care attendants may:
• Assist with dressing, bathing, cooking, feeding, shopping and walking. • Assist with self-administered medications. • Escort to activities and appointments. • Perform light housekeeping duties.
Required skills and qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
One or more years of experience as a caregiver
Ability to pass a background check
Excellent judgment and proven discretion in handling confidential information
Valid driver’s license or valid state issued identification
