Job Description

The Assistant Marketing Associate position is a valued team member in the marketing and advertising department. The position is considered entry level to start during training which includes a comprehensive overview of basic branding, sales, promotions, and team development. After successful completion of the program, an individual would be considered a manager in the department.

ASSISTANT MARKETING ASSOCIATE JOB DUTIES:

• Services accounts, obtains orders and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing a daily work schedule to call on potential customers.

• Uses systematic content of sales presentations to each customer.

• Focuses on sales and marketing efforts by studying existing and potential volume of experienced consultants.

• Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.

• Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly territory analyses.

• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

• Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.

• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

IN YOUR DEVELOPMENT TO BECOME A SUCCESSFUL MANAGER, YOU'LL LEARN HOW TO MENTOR, TRAIN, DEVELOP, AND MANAGE A TEAM OF YOUR OWN.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.

• 1-4 years of relevant experience in a leadership role, sales, marketing, and/or customer service (restaurant, retail, and/or hospitality)

• Internship experience in sales, marketing, and account management.

• Interest in developing customer partnerships.

• Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize, plan, and organize sales activity.
