    Job Description

    OVERVIEW SUMMARY

    Respond to customer inquiries by telephone or e-mail to provide non-technical problem resolution. Resolve routine and basic problems and communicates solution or requested information to the customer. Analyze a customer's service needs and refer to other service or technical departments for follow up as needed.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Reports To: Customer Service Manager
    • Available to answer all client questions or concerns about their account.
    • Answer incoming phone calls, chats and emails for all member related questions on their benefits and claims status.
    • Member Service Rep resolves inquiries from health plan members, providers, and various customers while consistently exceeding productivity, quality and service standards.
    • Member Service Representatives have proven ability to quickly learn and put into practice software applications to respond to administrative issues related to health plan operations including claims resolution, premium billing, benefit interpretation, and enrollment issues.

     

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum 2 years of college credit 
    • 2-3 years’ experience in insurance specific customer service.
    • Preferred Active Accident Health & Life Insurance License for the state of Texas, not required
    • Strong problem solving skills, ability to correct issues with clients before escalating.
    • Moderate understanding of one or more payroll account software systems.
    • Must perform job duties with the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
    • Able to maintain multiple projects.
    • Prioritize and process information quickly.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Good interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must be able to work within a team environment.
