    Cullman Internal Medicine is seeking a Medical Assistant to serve our providers and prepare patients for their visit. Triage is a valuable role that makes first contact with patients and helps communicate immediate patient needs to the practicing physician (Vitals, pain, and current medications, Etc.).

    Some of the daily duties include but are not limited to:

    · Triage-Patient Vital Signs, manual blood pressures, injections, EKGs, etc.

    · Maintains strictest confidentiality, adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.

    · Adheres to all Compliance and OSHA guidelines/regulations.

    · Participates in educational activities and attends staff meetings. · Collaborate with all office personnel as needed.

    · Occasional overtime may be required and/or hours may be shortened as business needs dictate.

    · Additional functions and requirements may be assigned by supervisor as deemed appropriate.

    · Conduct self in accordance with Cullman Internal Medicine employee handbook. · Serve as backup scheduler.

    REQUIRED EXPIRIRENCE: · Candidates should have 2 years' experience in basic patient care, including taking vital signs, injections, EKG's and more

    · Ability to take manual blood pressures is required. · Ability to take manual blood pressures is required. · Must be well organized and detail oriented.

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

    · Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions/ and communicate effectively with others. · Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and the public. · Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions/ and communicate effectively with others.

    · Candidate must be highly motivated to learn new skills. · Knowledge of computer programs

    Our clinic hours are 7:45am-5pm (or until last patient completed) Monday through Friday.
