We are actively seeking an experienced and highly motivated Technical Project Manager to join our team. Americas Division Technical Project Manager must be a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to effectively manage the deployment of complex systems. This individual must be able to communicate effectively with project stakeholders, to include customers, partners, and management. Must be able to provide oversight and direction to a diverse engineering and technical team and lead the team to successful deployment of RF/Communications/IT systems. This includes supervising installation and being active in process improvement, project planning, reporting, and performance management. This position will also be heavily involved with deployment plans and testing procedure development. Must successfully pass an FBI National Criminal History Check to obtain credentials for access to customer facilities, when required, and a Medium Background Investigation (MBI) security clearance. Periodic travel within the Continental United States (CONUS) to support project needs will be required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Six (6+) years of technical project management experience with contracts in excess of $1M
- Six (6+) years of Government contracting experience including a basic familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations
- Five (5+) years of experience managing engineering/technical teams, subcontractors, and vendors
- Ten (10+) years of experience with complex RF/Communications/IT system deployment, to include testing and optimization – systems include wireless mesh/MIMO networks, microwave backhaul solutions, point-to-point mm wave systems, private/commercial 4G LTE/5G, LMR systems, and other emerging technologies.
- Ten (10+) years of experience in a client-facing technical role, and experience with communicating with executive level professionals
- Must have hands-on experience with fielding systems in urban environments
- Proven writing and grammar skills in order to effectively create technical procedures, processes, test plans, etc.
- Excellent verbal skills and a demonstrated ability to quickly develop professional relationships with management, staff, vendors, and customers
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Ability to effectively translate customer requirements into proposal and quote documents
- Leverage both proven and innovative technology approaches to solve challenging business problems
- Strong analytical ability and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated strong ability to work in team environment; focus on results, enabling businesses to operate more effectively
- Knowledge of R56, ANSI, IEEE standards preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide technical oversight, leadership, and guidance for the deployment of RF systems.
- Work collaboratively with systems engineering staff, lead RF Engineer and the program manager to determine technical direction and approach for system design and implementation, including brand products and supporting systems.
- Be the primary technical interface with the customer and all project stakeholders, to include system design, deployment, testing, optimization, and sustainment.
- Provide expert technical advice and consultation to others (e.g. management, program sponsors, and other technical specialists) on IT programs, services, plans, goals, projects, strategies and processes.
- Establish and follow a formal procedure for coordinating system integration activities among multiple teams, ensuring complete coverage of all interfaces
- Lead engineering and technical efforts to resolve system and deployment issues, to include developing courses of action to solve issues. Will also be the lead for all Engineering Change Requests, to include technical write-ups, costs, and pricing.
- Work with Program/Project Managers to develop schedules, pricing, statements of work, proposals, and project planning and communications documents.
- Proactively and consistently communicate internally and externally, to include status meetings, kickoff meetings, project reviews, presentations, both in person and electronically/telecom.
- Manage and maintain relationships with all levels of contractors and vendors including electricians, technicians, engineers, architects, project managers, and account managers.
- Represent Tribalco by ensuring that projects are managed and completed in an efficient and professional manner.
- Present themselves to the customer in a professional businesslike manner.
- Assist Program/Project Managers with ensuring that project scope is completed within cost, quality, and schedule constraints.
- Assess and manage impact of project risks and issues.
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor of Science – Electrical/Electronic/Communications/Network Systems Engineering or related/equivalent field of study
- PMP Certification desired but not required
- Systems Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) framework experience
Clearance
- US Citizenship is required.
- Ability to pass FBI Criminal History Check and DHS Medium Background Investigation
