    Job Description

WE’RE HIRING! TRIBU SEEKS A SALES CONSULTANT

    30,000 FOOT VIEW

In simplest terms, Tribu’s Sales Consultants (AKA Solutions Consultants) are responsible for bringing new clients (aka partners) to Tribu. How? By building meaningful relationships with potential partners, diligently learning about their business challenges and goals, and proposing expert solutions for their marketing needs.

    SOME SPECIFICS

As a Solutions Consultant, you will consult with business owners and marketing professionals in a variety of industries, guiding them through the sales process of qualifying, exploring, advising, closing, and onboarding. Critical responsibilities include developing relationships that result in new business for Tribu and creating scope of work proposals that set your new partners and operations tribe up for success. This role is best for self-starting, self-aware, high performers with growing business acumen and unceasing determination. For the right person, this role satisfies those itches you feel for meeting new people, celebrating victories, and controlling your own destiny.

    DAY-TO-DAY (A SNEAK PEAK)

    • Identify appropriate prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage the sales cycle to close new business in all service categories offered
    • Develop a network of likely partners through regular prospecting activities such as attending networking events and connecting with like-minded professionals for referrals
    • Possess in-depth service knowledge and confidently explain to potential partners how specific marketing tactics will help promote their products or services in the most effective way possible
    • Prepare and present professional, complete, and accurate sales proposals for service offerings, including public presentations and high stakes pitches as needed
    • Handle contract objections and negotiations (with support as needed)
    • Achieve sales goals by assessing current partner needs and following a defined selling process for new potential partners
    • Coordinate with sales tribe to ensure company quotas and standards are being met, performing market research and regular competitor monitoring

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

    THE HARD REQUIREMENTS

    • An undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, or related field.
    • We don’t particularly like listing years of experience because we don’t believe all experience is equal, but at least 2 years of related work are preferred.
    • Strong professional written and verbal communication skills are a must.
    • Brownie points for having some experience with a CRM (ability and willingness to learn one are required).

    THE SOFT REQUIREMENTS

    • Pressure doesn’t intimidate you, in fact, you run to new challenges. You understand the goal and will do what it takes to get there.
    • You're motivated by the fact that your compensation is directly tied to your successes and expect your commissions to make up the lion's share of your earnings, meaning you've met and exceeded your goals on a regular basis.
    • You take pride in your ability to make killer first impressions. You will naturally put the best foot forward for the agency.
    • You have that "dog" in you and your ego doesn’t bruise easily. You experience the sting of rejection and turn what you've learned from it into your next victory.
    • You crave well-earned wins and the thrill of having a direct impact on a company’s growth makes you get out of bed in the morning.
    • You’re comfortable knowing your workload will fluctuate. It’s not always 9 to 5. Sometimes it is, often it’s not.
    • You like the idea of a small company with big company style compensation perks, like healthcare and retirement savings options (with eligibility).
    • You prefer to be busy over bored and don't leave things which can be accomplished today for tomorrow.
    • You’re looking to collaborate with an insanely stellar tribe daily – a group full of high performers that like to solve problems, share smarts, and bring epic ideas to life.

    OTHER STUFF

    • This is a full-time position with performance-based compensation.
    • Tribu is an equal opportunity employer.

    WHAT IS TRIBU?

Tribu is a digital and design agency in San Antonio, Texas. We build “tribes” for our Tribe Partners (what most would call “Clients”). We’re award-winning (over 80 wins in our eight years of business) and progressive. We believe in breaking stuff and pushing boundaries, productively. We like innovation, technology (namely, the internet), and stellar design. We use all the fine knowledge we’ve gained from pressing mysterious buttons, some formal education, past “work” experience, and life in general to 1) build the best brands for our Tribe Partners and 2) ideate and execute digital marketing campaigns with highly measurable ROI. Those two efforts equal our outcome: We are fuel for the innovators and the wise risk taskers - we ignite Tribes that win market share for our Partners.

WHAT'S OUR CULTURE LIKE, YOU WONDER?

It’s laid-back in the sense that we wear what we want to the office (on most days) but it’s hustle, smarts, and grit that bonds our high performers and allows us to constantly celebrate victories with and for our Tribe Partners. We have problems too, like most companies, but our favorite thing about our culture is that we solve those problems together – we’ve got each other’s backs. We’re a Tribe. We’re humble and we hardcore believe in #workhardplayhard. We practice candor, deep respect, and enjoy the occasional office masseuse. Also, we welcome pups. We like breakfast tacos, dance parties, and witty puns or clever shenanigans. Laughter is prevalent here. Oh yeah, and we’re small but mighty – about 19 Tribe Members strong right now. Therefore, we know each other well and we like that too. Last but not least, we all know what #TribeLove means and while we embrace constant change #TribeLove and our desire to be surrounded by high performers are our unwavering constants.
