    The Quality Control Inspector I is responsible for ensuring that product is within quality standards and specifications. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining quality and safety standards; visual inspections, measurements, and functional testing of product; recording data/test results to validate conformance; and assisting with quality related reports, reviews, and audits as needed.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Perform dimensional inspection utilizing calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, height stands, etc. 
    • Perform visual inspections using low to no magnification to ensure components are free of burrs, defects, or other deficiencies. 
    • Perform inspections utilizing vision system equipment including the Oasis, Keyence, and Optiv. 
    • Record and create inspection reports utilizing Microsoft Excel and Word.
    • Perform document reviews of supplier paperwork and in-process inspections.Ability to demonstrate good interpersonal skills, flexibility, and effectively communicate with coworkers at all levels. 
    • Complete inspection of product independently with little supervision in a timely manner.
    • Complete inspection reports and associated documentation without assistance. 
    • Ability to identify and communicate issues as soon as they are discovered.
    • Review documentation from suppliers and from coworkers for accuracy and completeness. 
    • Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of equipment and area as required.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Dimensional and visual inspection experience.
    • Ability to operate Microsoft Excel and Word
    • Detail oriented individual for document review
    • Effective communicator 
    • Works independently with little supervision
    • Flexibility in work schedule to be available for overtime when needed
