Environmental Compliance Specialist I Trillium Farms 19 reviews - Croton, OH 43013 Job Summary: The Environmental Compliance Specialist I (ECSI) is responsible for ensuring all activities, as they relate to the Insect, Recycled Nutrient and Storm water Management plans, are properly carried out throughout Trilliums Croton locations. This position works closely under the Environmental Compliance Specialist II (ECSII), the Compliance Administrator, Production and Pullet Managers and local farmers. Essential Job Functions * Monitors compliance with applicable state and federal regulations related to Environmental Compliance. * Responsible for carrying out activities related to the Insect Management Plan, including assisting internal inspections and completing/monitoring documentation. * Assists the ECSII in carrying out employee training programs related to insect management, biosecurity, best management practices. * Assists with internal and regulatory inspections involving environmental compliance. * Assists in the corrective action process for regulatory and third party inspections of the farms for environmental compliance. * Responsible for carrying out activities related to the Recycled Nutrient Management Plan including: * Collection and maintenance of all records associated with land application of recyclable nutrients generated at the facility. * Manages and monitors the storage and if applicable, the application of all waste and storm water generated from the site. * Carries out the application of waste water onto fields and performs routine checks. * Conducts routine inspections of storage buildings, ponds and surrounding areas and related equipment. * Conducts sampling activities required by the Environmental Management Plan. * Documents and reports applicable information to Compliance Administrator. * Maintains and monitors all related equipment. * Works closely with ECSII in ensuring all compliance programs as they relate to Environmental Compliance and Insect Management are properly carried out and sites are in compliance. * Performs all duties as assigned. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree preferred or 2-4 years applicable experience * Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to Environmental Management * Licensed as a Pesticide Applicator by the State of Ohio (Preferred) * Must be able to communicate in the English language. Bilingual preferred * Able to work in various climate conditions including extreme heat and cold environments, walking, standing and sitting for long periods of time. * Experience in maintaining farm equipment preferred * Must be able to work some nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
